The owner and staff are present and attentive, but that’s where the positives end.
The rooms are filthy—cigarette butts in the bathroom and the bathroom had not been cleaned for a long time. A layer of dust on sidetables, dirty floor-mats (that got exchanged though), dust balls, old food wrappers, and trash like dirty slippers, fruit stones and empty water bottles under the bed.
No air conditioning, no fan, and a window that opens directly to the street, sacrificing privacy even on the so-called quiet side of the building.
I emailed photos of the mess to the owner and my travel agent, but received no response, not even an apology.
The food? Largely disappointing. Only one dish was good; the rest fell flat. Despite the hotel being mostly empty, noise levels were high, thanks to a lack of consideration for privacy among other guests.
I accepted to stay two nights due to the kind and ever present owner who tried his best to make me enjoy my stay. However in the hinsight I should have left immediately. Kindness has to be followed up by action.
