I recently organized both an engagement and a wedding event at SM Palace, and unfortunately, both experiences fell short of expectations.
During the engagement on April 18, 2024, the air conditioning in the hall, which has a capacity of over 200 guests, was not functioning properly. This led to discomfort among attendees, compounded by frequent power shutdowns. These issues significantly disrupted the event and marred what should have been a joyous occasion.
The disappointment continued during the wedding on April 20, 2024. The staff at SM Palace struggled to handle even basic tasks, such as serving starters and dinner. Additionally, hygiene standards were not maintained by the serving staff, which is concerning given the importance of cleanliness, especially in a dining setting.
Overall, the experiences at SM Palace were deeply unsatisfactory. The lack of adequate facilities, coupled with poor service, detracted from what should have been memorable celebrations.
