Hotel Celeste - Hotel in Mumbai

In this hotel i stayed two days and located at the centre of site seeing places (Susson dock port, Hotel Taj , Naval, Gateway of India, etc ). I liked it but it was very expensive. . The safety and check-in process is taking time but it is Good for us. Only one issue that is lift. It is too small and the remaining everything is well.

Celeste hotel is located in Colaba, just ahead colaba causeway. Locaytion is perfect as it only takes 15-20 min walk to reach gateway of India, Leoppold cafe and other places. There are some good places to eat nearby the hotel. Taxi and buses are available just outside the hotel. Hotel does not a kitchen, however, they said basic items like tea/omellette, bread butter etc they perpare on demand. Hotel staff is nice, however, they aren't professional and which is understood as they aren't the trained staff. I booked the basic which was quite spacious considering the fact one is staying in south Mumbai. Bathroom was clean and hot water was available. Shower was not in working condition. Two soaps and clean towes are given as toiletries. Split AC is available in the room which does a very good cooling. Two 500 ml water bottles are given as complimentary. Bed and bedding are clean. Overall I am quite ok with the price I paid, apart from little lapses everything was ok.

I was stayed here for 3 night with my wife and kid. Before booking I was worried about cleanliness of the room. but room was very well clean. Below is my opinion rating. Cleaning: 5 / 5 Staff Behaviour: 5/5 ( Very much polite) Service time: 5/5 ( very quick service by staff members) Location: 5/5 Facilities: 3.5 / 5 (No water, No detail kit, No sower gell, Only they will give 2 soaps) Lift Facility: 3/5 (Old type very small and slow Lift) Food: 3/5 ( Charging costly compared to local market) Although this was a average hotel. I can say location wise this is one of the good hotel. I am recommending this hotel for Family for its cleanliness, Service and staff behaviour

The room was quite spacious yet it wasn't well maintained, there were cockroaches and many insects. The refrigerator seemed to be so old that, it needed to get scraped. The hotel didn't have in-house food service, they bought food from near by restaurant. The behavior of the guy in the reception was quite unprofessional.
