Bluemount Homestay - Hotel in Idukki

We loved the stay here. The service is very good. He helped with the spots to visit. The arranges things if you want anything. The rooms were very neat and tidy. The bathroom was clean and has heater.

We loved the hospitality by owner in this homestay . He served us homemade plum cake and banana chips in evening snakes . Also he offered us homemade wine and papaya from his garden . In morning he provided us chicken curry and uppam and everything was so delicious. Place was quite and away from crowd . We enjoyed this quite place and also bought kaalu from local village and drank it, that was good. Although searching for that drink was quite adventurous 😁. Room was fine and clean .Balcony was good place to chill out in this homestay . We loved it and recommend others too.

Excellent rooms with all basic amenities. Outstanding host. Never have seen such an accommodative and friendly host. Awesome food. Do ask for the home made wine . One of the best wine I have tasted. Overall a must stay place when in Idukki.

Nice budget home stay near Kattappana (Idukki). Owner Mr. Philip, an ex-teacher will make sure you are at home. He accompanied us to the trek up the hill behind the home stay to the picturesque scenery of Idukki reservoir (see the photo). They served yummy homely Kerala food. Recommended as a base during your Idukki visit to see nearest attractions like Idukki arch dam, cheruthoni dam, hills view park, anchuruli tunnel, Calvary mount, etc. Tip: one of the rooms do not have attached bathroom, but a common bath. Facilities are basic, but nice, clean, cosy and cheap.

Quiet peaceful homestay owned and run by a retired missionary/teacher. Mr philip is an excellent host and cook. Infact if you're staying here would recommend eating his food itself. As the surrounding areas dont have much in terms of eating options. The only downside fpr me was that while the tap in the loo had hot water. There was no hot water in the shower. Which was difficult for me as i have long hair and need to use the shower
